Captain James Bartholomew Hawke - (formerly the Cooper)
Recently elected Captain of this fair crew, I was born and raised on the island of Barbados in the Carribean Sea where me mum and dad owned a tavern, The Sea Turtle Inn. I helped them with runnin' of the place until me dad passed away from a deadly fever. Me mum, not able to handle the place any longer sold to a local merchant and I went into apprenticeship as a cooper at the ripe old age of 15. I spent the next 5 years learnin' me trade but the call o' sea, that I picked up listenin' to old salts around the fireplace tellin' their tall tales, made me want to sign on to a merchantman headin' to New England. Well, it bein' my luck, on the very first crossin' we was taken by pirates and I was pressed into service as their cooper. After some time the ways of them rogues became quite agreeable to me as I was makin' quite a sum a loot. Well now here I am, 20 years years later, a true pirate at heart and lovin' every bit of it.
